What could be wrong with my Sony DLP HD TV?

My 65″ Sony DLP keeps turning itself on and off. It turns off for less than a minute than turns back on for a couple more. Making it completely annoying to watch TV.

if the power light is flashing count the number of flashes until it repeats. this is an error code to indicate what circuit is defective. repost with info model # of set
