Vcr Mount

We are going to mount a plasma on top of fireplace. Good idea?

A: Does anyone have that? How does it look? The fireplace is the focal point of the room.
B: Where would we put our Dvd Player, VCR, cable box.etc.. If I get an entertainment center would it look okay since fireplace is in the middle of the wall and what size should it be? Thank you in advance.
It’s a new construction home, so the builder inentionally for that reason made the fire place mantel really low about 4 and 1/2 feet tall.

It would depend on the room for how it would look. Take a picture of the room and use Photoshop to put a plasma tv above the fireplace to see how it would look. You could have the dvd player, vcr, cable box, ect.. located somewhere discreet, or build a cabinet mounted flush with the wall.
