Laptop to CRT HDTV?

I have a IBM Thinkpad T42 and I want to hook it up to a Sony KD-34XBR960 CRT HDTV. My Thinkpad has an S-video out but the resolution is crappy. Does anyone know how I can hook these two together to display an HD picture on my TV screen? Thanks in advance for any help…

S-Video is not capable of HD. You’ll need to use component, VGA, DVI, or HDMI depending on what ins and outs your hardware has in common.

The best bet is probably DVI/HDMI. They are easily interchangeable with a cheap adapter and would be supported by most laptops and TVs.
