Samsung DLP problem – the picture freezes and then there is just a color distortion?
I have a DLP 5067W – while watching TV the set just froze and then there was a color distortion on the screen. Now the set had stopped responding to any function. It just has a frozen screen.
I tried to unplug and restart the DLP after 10 minutes and the set came on but again went back to the distorted color screen and stopped functioning.
I think the bulb is still ok but there is some problem with thee circuitry.
Any one else has had this problem and are there any solutions?
the chip that controls the colour filters (red,green,blue) seems to have gone. so the screen refresh fucntion will not kick in thus a frozen screen.
you need a tv engineer.
