A beautiful, bright screen, however it arrived with one flawed spot. Luckily the flaw is at the edge of the screen so it isn’t bothersome.

I had this monitor for about a year. I liked it so far although it didn’t have a DVI slot and only came with VGA. I used an adapter though so that worked out perfectly.
However, it’s starting to die on me. It has some kind of problem with the power cord! I thought it was the cord itself but then I tried it on another monitor and there was no problem at all. I would have liked it alot better if it lasted for more than a year :/

I bought this monitor from Amazon because of the low price and the fact that it had generally gotten good customer reviews. I decided to return it to Amazon for two reasons:
1. The colors were washed out. Using the controls built into the monitor, I was able to improve the colors a bit. Using the included Magic Tune software, I was able to improve the colors some more. But every time I rebooted, Magic Tune returned to its default, washed-out colors! (This must be a bug in the Magic Tune software.) I tried connecting the Samsung to a different computer (a Dell Desktop, instead of the Thinkpad X40 laptop for which I bought it), and found that the colors were better, but not as good as the colors on the Dell Ultrasharp monitor that came with the desktop. So part of the blame for the washed-out colors lies with the video hardware in the Thinkpad. It’s possible that the monitor I received was defective, since other reviewers said that they were pleased with the Samsung’s colors.
2. The stand is not adjustable. If I were to design a non-adjustable stand, I would design it so that the screen is permanently tilted back a little bit. But this Samsung monitor has a fixed position in which the surface of the screen is at a right angle with the surface of the desk. It was also too low for my taste. To remedy these problems, I stacked up some books under the monitor.
On the plus side, the price was low, and the image was very sharp (although the colors were washed out). In the end, I returned the Samsung monitor and bought a Dell Ultrasharp monitor, with which I am satisfied.

Purchased during the last week of March, our TV arrived 7 days later. We are exceedingly pleased with the screen clarity. Outstandingly clear and great color quality.
